Fuller Gardens New Hampshire Engagement

Introduction

It’s that time of year again! Fall is in full swing and that means TONS of engagement sessions! There’s something so special about getting to know your clients while they’re planning their wedding day and one of the best ways to do that is to book an engagement session. In September, I got to document Johanna and Nick’s engagement session at Fuller Gardens in New Hampshire!

Sometimes couples feel more comfortable booking a photographer for just an engagement session before their wedding to get an idea of how they like a photographer. Afterwards, they may book that photographer for their actual wedding! Johanna and Nick, who are getting married next September, are one of those couples. They told me they wanted to book me for their wedding immediately after the session!

I think one of the most special things about an engagement session is that you get to see them at the beginning of forever. While I’m sure every couple feels this way about each other, it always seems more exciting when I get to be a part of documenting it!

I think one of the most special things about an engagement session is that you get to see them at the beginning of forever.

Engagement photos are a great way to get to know each other and learn how the couple works together, but they’re also so much fun! There’s nothing like the excitement before the wedding day, and I love being able to capture it during a very special time in the couples’ lives.

Engagement photos are a great way to meet your photographer, get comfortable with them and their style, and for me— I can see what works best for my couples when it comes time for their big day!

What are some things that make an engagement shoot special? For starters:

  • A location that means something special to you both
  • An outfit that makes you feel like yourself
  • An open mind (my prompts can be a little weird, but I promise you’ll end up looking natural and in love!)

It was a beautiful afternoon shooting this Fuller Gardens New Hampshire Engagement.

Fuller Gardens is a beautifully maintained, historical place in North Hampton, NH. It’s an ideal location for engagement photos because of the variety of spots to shoot at. There are gardens, a koi pond, interesting architecture, and trees that all make for great backdrops. It’s located on the ocean and is jam-packed with every color flower you could think of. Even off-peak season is gorgeous there!

We shared so many laughs during this engagement session!

I adore Johanna and Nick. Right from the start of the session, they were laughing together and connecting in such a sweet way. You can just tell how close they are and how intimate their love is. It’s so evident how much comfort they find in eachothers presence and it comes out in every photo!

I love getting to know my clients, their story, and their personalities. It’s such a great feeling hearing about the details of their wedding day and how they met. I love capturing those details for them in photos so they can relive them over and over again.

These Fuller Garden New Hampshire engagement photos were such a fun session to do with this lovely couple! They wanted some fun, romantic photos that highlighted the gardens as well as each other. The day we chose was perfect for us because the sun made everything glow.

We hope you enjoyed this sneak peek into our time with Johanna and Nick. I’m so excited for their wedding next September, and we can’t wait to share more photos!
