One of my favorite phrases is Collective Effervescence.
This means "the intense, euphoric, and electric energy experienced by individuals when they come together in a group to share a common purpose"
I've always been sucked in by this emotion, curious about it, wanting to find it in every part of life. Live music, sports, sharing joy in someone's accomplishments.
But where did I find it in the most meaningful capacity? WEDDINGS.
What better common purpose is there than THE CELEBRATION OF YOUR LOVE?!

my philosophy
Your only job on your wedding day is to show up and exist fully in it!
When it's time for couples portraits, we're not disappearing for an hour to check off a shot list. We're stealing twenty minutes for just the two of you. You get a second to breathe together and have fun with my effortless prompting. I get to catch everything that happens in that moment.
Family photos get done fast and efficiently so you can get back to your people. But in the in-between transitions where the cheers, the hugs, and the totally unexpected moments live... that's the best stuff to capture.
You've waited a long time for this day. I'm going to make sure you live in it, even when taking photod
Here's what i really want for you:
I get to show up as the most genuine version of myself: creative, curious, and in my element. In return, I get to witness people at their most human. The emotions of a wedding day are so real and visceral and I can feel every single one of them. I'm present in a way I rarely am anywhere else.
But there's this other thing that happens too! Even in the middle of all that presence, part of my brain is thinking about the future. About a couple sitting together 40 years from now, or a kid flipping through an album of ancestors they never knew but recognizing exactly how that moment felt. That's the legacy of it.
That's what I'm actually creating for when you see me bouncing around on the dance floor and flitting from one place to another
