Andrew & Mary’s Wedding at Agawam Hunt | Rumford, Rhode Island
Their flower “dude” threw petals with such commitment and flair that the whole ceremony erupted.
That’s the sentence that tells you everything about Andrew and Mary’s wedding.
Who they are
These two met on Bumble, went on a first date at a bookstore, and have basically been building a life around literature, coffee shops, and their dog Perry ever since. Their engagement session was in a bookstore. Their wedding decor was books. Bold florals everywhere. Vintage touches. The whole day had this dark academia meets maximalist joy energy that shouldn’t work on paper and absolutely did in real life.
I was smiling from the moment I arrived and didn’t really stop.

Agawam Hunt, Rumford, RI
Agawam Hunt is a private sporting club just outside Providence with the kind of old New England bones that make everything feel immediately cozy: rich wood interiors, fireplaces, sprawling green spaces, a layout that flows easily between indoors and out. June decided to be cold and drizzly for this one but it made the indoor spaces feel even more inviting.
Outside there were Adirondack chairs and a fire pit with a s’mores station. Multiple bars. String lights. A crowd of people who very clearly adore Andrew and Mary and were not shy about showing it.
It felt less like a wedding reception and more like the best party thrown by the two most well-read people you know.

The ceremony
Not traditional. Emphatically not traditional. The flower dude, not flower girl, flower dude– launched into his petal duties with such theatrical energy that everyone started laughing before the processional even finished. Andrew and Mary were completely unbothered by perfection and completely present for joy, and that combination makes for my favorite kinda photos.
The reception
Books on every table. Florals that were bold and a little wild. Guests making s’mores by the fire pit while Andrew and Mary danced inside. The kind of night where you look around at some point and think… wow everyone here is genuinely so relaxed.
