Kacee & Josh’s Red Lion Inn Wedding in Cohasset, Massachusetts

THIS WEDDING. Wow. Kacee & Josh’s Red Lion Inn wedding in Cohasset, Massachusetts was one for the books and one of the celebrations that made me think: “omg I really, really love my job.”

I’ll admit, I went in a little nervous. I’d heard horror stories about tricky lighting at this venue. But then I saw it for myself, and all I could think was…are you kidding me?! Between the rustic charm of the inn and the colors of early October in New England, this place was stunning.

Getting Ready at The Red Lion Inn

Kacee was one of the most relaxed brides I’ve ever worked with. She spent the morning in the Red Lion Inn bridal suite with her bridesmaids, laughing and sipping and keeping things laid-back…exactly how a wedding morning should be.

Meanwhile, my second shooter was with Josh and his groomsmen. Let’s just say their prep involved cigars, beers at a local bar, and looking cool as hell. Pro tip: build in extra time on your wedding day so you can actually enjoy it like these two did.

The Ceremony

Their ceremony was the definition of sweet and hilarious. Kacee & Josh wrote their own vows, packed with humor, personality, and so much love. Guests laughed, cried, and soaked up every second as these two promised forever in front of family and friends.

Afterward, we spent some time with their bridal party, who were an absolute riot. This was the wedding where I realized: goofy bridal parties are my jam. Give me laughter over stiff, serious posing any day.

The Reception

And then came the reception: the crown jewel of any wedding day. The Red Lion Inn’s cozy yet vibrant atmosphere was the perfect backdrop, and the DJ lit the place up.

The dance floor was packed all night: Kacee had a dance-off with her dad, guests puffed cigars, a cane turned into a limbo stick, and the energy was non-stop. Kacee & Josh hardly left the floor, and it was such a joy to watch two people I’ve known for years living it up with their people.

Kacee & Josh, thank you for throwing the kind of wedding that reminds me exactly why I do what I do. Your Massachusetts wedding at the Red Lion Inn was bursting with joy, laughter, and pure fun from start to finish.
