In the modern world of dating, it’s getting rarer and rarer to hear of couples meeting organically in real life. You hear of older couples stating the love of their life lived down the street from them their whole life, but in the days of tinder and online dating, those kinds of stories are becoming more and more special.
Colette and Matt are that sort of couple. Though Matt was a few years ahead of Colette in school, they grew up in the same town together, never more than a few miles apart. They never really got to know eachother until meeting up with mutual friends while coming home from college. Gradually, they hung out more and more until they found themselves dating. When I asked what their first date was like, they went “uhhh we’re not sure when our first date was!” Love how unconventional they are!
Seven years later, on a trip to Acadia, Matt popped the question to Colette in their hotel room overlooking the mountains and a quaint Maine town, making that first step towards a lifetime of adventure together <3
The New England fall colors just illuminated the entire park in the most gorgeous warmth.
I just loved the way these two interacted together. They are absolute pros at making eachother laugh and you just know every day together is a blast.
