For this Cape Cod wedding, it was an honor to have been the photographer for Kim and Mike’s wedding at Wychmere Beach Club! This is a beautiful venue located in Harwich Port, MA. Wychmere not only offers a stunning view of the ocean, but they also have a boardwalk and beach that’s perfect for photos!
This gorgeous wedding was held at the Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port and the ceremony was set on the beach with a stunning view of the ocean. The reception was located in the ocean room with a rooftop area perfect for watching boats come in as you catch up with old friends and family!
Wychmere Beach Club offers a beautiful beachfront location in Harwich Port. The venue has a variety of wedding packages and reception options to choose from.
The ballroom, The Ocean Room, is an elegant space that can accommodate up to 200 guests for your wedding day celebration! The ballroom features floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Nantucket Sound and amazing sunsets.
The day started off at one of the hotel rooms overlooking the resort. Kim and her bridesmaids were having a blast, fueled by a pile of delicious sandwiches and upbeat music. It was such a peaceful morning and each bridesmaid and mothers helped Kim into her dress and jewelry. I loved how both Kim and Mike’s moms helped Kim put on her earrings. Sweetest moment ever, especially when it was so clear how proud and happy they were for their kids.
During a moment of downtime, I headed over to where Mike and the guys were getting ready. They were staying at a gorgeous house just a couple minutes down the street called The Mooring at Harwich Port. These groomsmen were hilarious as they helped Mike put on his jacket and tie. Who knew all 4 groomsmen could help out at once!
First look photos are a great way to capture the emotion of the moment. They can help with nerves, anxiety, and excitement.
For Kim and Mike, they decided to read letters to eachother. It was such an intimate moment. As loved ones watched from a distance away, more than a couple tears were shed.
Kim and Mike had such a fun, relaxing ceremony! There was a basket of mini beach balls, which everyone threw as Kim and Mike walked down the aisle after the first kiss. I just can’t get over the expressions of their parents and wedding party. This couple has the most amazing support system and are so cared for.
After the wedding ceremony, everyone headed to the rooftop of Wychmere Beach Club, where appetizers and personalized cocktailed were served. The weather was gorgeous and everyone laughed as boats would pass by, passengers waving excitedly at the wedding. The reception was held in the Ocean Room, which was decorated with gorgeous greenery and blue accents. The table numbers were inspired by the bookleaf-shaped town line signs of Massachusetts.
The night was an absolute blast. Whether guests chose to tear up the dancefloor or chat together at the tables, the atmosphere felt so relaxed and joyful.
When sunset came, Kim and Mike joined me outside for some of the most epic bride and groom photos I may have ever taken. I just can’t get over the sky that night! Wychmere Beach Club offers everything you could need for the most dramatic wedding photos. Between the boardwalk, the seagrass, the architecture, and the beach, you’ll never run out of options.
I’ll never forget this wedding, as it was the first wedding I shot after moving back to New England. It was such a reminder of how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful part of the country. Kim and Mike, thank you for having me as your photographer. You’re truly made for each other and I’m honored to document the start of your marriage!
