Kaelyn and Evan’s wedding day was truly something special—intimate, heartfelt, and surrounded by only their closest family members. Although I didn’t get to chat with them too much, their calm and laid-back vibe made the day feel so relaxed and genuine. Their decision to hold a micro-wedding before their larger celebration next year was inspired by their desire to make sure their grandparents could attend and be part of the big moment. It was clear how important family was to both of them, and I couldn’t help but admire that.
Their ceremony took place at Fuller Gardens in North Hampton, New Hampshire, in the stunning Lydia Fuller Bottomley Garden. The weather was a bit unpredictable that day. We were all prepared for rain (Kaelyn’s mom even came prepared with several umbrellas!), but instead, we got this dreamy overcast sky for the ceremony, which brightened up just in time for portraits! They were married by Evan’s dad in front of their 17 closest family members, and the ceremony was so peaceful. Afterward, the couple took a private moment in the front garden to read personal vows to each other, just the two of them. These moments always feel like magic, especially when you’re surrounded by somewhere as gorgeous as Fuller Gardens.
One of my favorite parts of the day was photographing Kaelyn and Evan as we wandered around the koi pond and explored the greenhouse. Fuller Gardens is such a gem, and the gardens provided a perfect backdrop for their portraits.
Kaelyn’s ring was something truly unique, with moss agate as the stone—a perfect reflection of her style and the earthy, intimate vibe of the day. When I delivered their photos, Evan sent the kindest message, “Thank you so so much!! We are so excited about our photos and they came out so amazing! We can’t thank you enough!” Messages like that remind me of why I love doing what I do.
This micro-wedding was proof that even the smallest celebrations can be filled with so much love, joy, and meaning.
