A Vibrant Wedding at Hiland Park Country Club: Marissa & Louis

If I had to pick one word to describe Marissa and Louis’ wedding day at Hiland Park Country Club, it would be vibrant! From the moment I walked up to the venue, I knew their wedding would be an explosion of joy, color, and energy, and they did not disappoint. Marissa and Louis are one of those couples that radiate fun and connection, making everyone around them feel like part of their world.

A Perfect Day at Hiland Park Country Club

On June 1, 2024, Queensbury, NY gave us the most beautiful day—a warm, golden afternoon with a sunset that lit up the sky in dramatic colors. The setting at Hiland Park Country Club was breathtaking, but the real magic came from Marissa and Louis. Their energy transformed the space into something unforgettable.

Family Bonds and Heartfelt Moments

What made this day even more special was the deep, loving bond between Marissa and her two young sons. Sure, like any kids, they probably would have preferred being anywhere else that day, but they really were there for their mom. Seeing them stand proudly by Marissa’s side was such a touching reminder of how weddings are truly about family.

Marissa’s bridesmaids were also a huge part of what made the day emotional and joyous. The maid of honor, who is also the godmother of Marissa’s children, delivered a speech that had everyone (myself included!) tearing up. You could feel the deep connection between them—a true sisterhood that added another layer of meaning to the day.

Effortless Chemistry

I hadn’t worked with Marissa and Louis before the wedding, but you wouldn’t have guessed it. From the first moment I started shooting, they were so comfortable, playful, and up for anything. Their connection was magnetic, making my job as their photographer feel seamless. Every prompt flowed effortlessly, and the way they interacted with one another as we wandered around the golf course was pure magic.

A Wedding Full of Color, Creativity, and Fun

The vibe of this wedding was like nothing I’ve ever seen. Marissa and Louis chose a color palette of bold oranges, pinks, and reds, and the bridesmaids all wore mismatched dresses, which somehow came together into a look that was lively, cohesive, and absolutely stunning. It was a true testament to how much personality this couple poured into their day.

And let’s talk about the details! They had these adorable “party animal” figurines as name cards and wedding favors—so unique and playful. And the food stations at cocktail hour? Unreal. A taco station, meat carving station, grilled cheese station, and pasta station—guests were in heaven.

A Day of Pure Joy

This was one of those weddings where the joy was contagious. Marissa and Louis’ happiness radiated through every moment, and it was an absolute honor to capture it. It’s couples like them that remind me why I love this job—being able to witness and document such pure, effortless love is what makes it all worth it.
