Romi and Nate wanted a small, intimate wedding surrounded by close family and friends. When they stumbled upon Roseland Cottage in Woodstock, Connecticut, they knew it was the perfect venue for their wedding.
The Roseland Cottage is a historic house located in Woodstock, Connecticut. The house was built in 1846 by Henry Bowen, a successful businessman and abolitionist. The Gothic Revival style cottage was a summer home for Bowen and his family and was designed to resemble an English manor house. The house is adorned with intricate woodwork and contains original furnishings from the mid-19th century. The Roseland Cottage is open to the public for tours and is a registered National Historic Landmark. It is also considered a good example of Gothic Revival architecture. The charming, historic cottage is nestled among beautiful gardens and offers a peaceful and romantic setting for a wedding. As Romi and Nate exchanged vows in front of the cottage, the June sun cast a warmth over the ceremony.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to a delicious meal catered by Small Kitchen, Big Taste. The reception was held in the cottage’s picturesque garden, where guests sipped champagne and danced the night away.
Overall, Romi and Nate’s garden wedding at Roseland Cottage was a dream come true. The intimate setting and beautiful surroundings made for a truly memorable and romantic celebration.
