“Can I go barefoot?!” was the first question Allie asked me about her engagement session and from that second I could not wait to meet her and her fiance, Mike. In that question alone, she perfectly set the scene for their session and described their relationship in a nutshell: fun-loving, adventurous, and laid back. They kept me laughing from the first pose and we never ran out of things to bond over – from Star Wars to Traveling to the outdoorsy life, these two are my kind of people.
Allie and Mike initially met online (like so many of my couples!! <3) and two weeks later, met in person at a restaurant. They hit it off so well and got so lost in conversation with eachother that they lost track of time and suddenly realized the restaurant was closing! The employees were thrilled. Allie and Mike fell for eachother instantly. On a trip to Disney seven months later, they watched the Star Wars fireworks together and this is where Mike asked Allie to be his wife.
They requested a woodsy location, bursting at the seems with nature. Devil’s Hopyard State Park, despite its slightly grotesque name, was unbelievably perfect. We started at the top of the waterfall, with pathways carved out into the hill and framed by makeshift log fences.
And we made our way to this stunning waterfall.
And then we wandered off into the stream. Allie and Mike were up for anything!
I am SO excited for their wedding in September!! Can’t come fast enough 🙂
Absolutely perfect pictures.
