Red Lion Inn Cohasset Wedding | Jen & Bran’s Joy-Filled Summer Celebration

Jen and Bran’s Red Lion Inn Cohasset wedding was one of those days where the joy was loud, the love was obvious, and absolutely nobody tried to play it cool. From the second I arrived, it felt electric. This was an August 8, 2025 summer wedding, and the sun showed UP. Warm, golden, glowing. At one point, they literally dipped their feet in the pool. Icon behavior.

As their wedding photographer, I loved how fully Jen and Bran leaned into the day. They weren’t rushing through moments or performing for anyone. They were present, playful, emotional, and completely obsessed with each other. My favorite kind of people.

Getting Ready at Red Lion Inn Cohasset

Jen and Bran both got ready on site, which is something I always love at the Red Lion Inn because every space has its own personality.

The women got ready in the tavern space, which felt historic and cozy in the best way. Old wood, a brick fireplace, shelves full of trinkets and character. They wore customized hoodies, popped mimosas, and laughed all morning. It felt relaxed and celebratory, like the wedding day had already started before the dress even went on.

The guys got ready downstairs in “The Cave,” which is exactly as cool as it sounds. It’s a speakeasy-style lounge under the inn with a big bar, a one-of-a-kind wine cellar, and an entertainment stage. Instead of nerves, they rolled out a putting mat and played golf. Zero stress. Just vibes.

An Emotional Indoor Ceremony at Red Lion Inn Cohasset

The ceremony took place indoors in front of the iconic staircase, and wow. The energy in that room was sizzling.

Jen and Bran wrote personal vows, and you could tell immediately that these two are readers and writers. Their words were thoughtful, poetic, and deeply felt. There was no holding back. Tears were flowing freely. The kind of ceremony where you look around and everyone is fully locked in, hearts wide open, not even pretending they’re fine.

It felt intimate, emotional, and so full of love and pride for them.

Why I Love Photographing Weddings at Red Lion Inn Cohasset

One of the reasons I adore a Red Lion Inn Cohasset wedding is its versatility. This venue can be weird, gorgeous, dark, bright, strange, and cozy all in one day. Every room feels like an invitation to get creative. You walk through one doorway and suddenly the vibe shifts entirely.

As a photographer, that’s a dream. As a couple, it means your wedding never feels one-note. It feels layered, interesting, and full of personality.

The Barn Reception and Cozy Cocktail Hour

Both the ceremony and reception took place in The Barn, with guests hanging out upstairs during cocktail hour. The whole space felt warm and communal, like one big joyful gathering instead of a formal production.

One of my favorite details is the bar, which is made out of a converted rowboat. Coastal, charming, and just quirky enough.

The reception itself felt intimate and celebratory, with guests fully invested in Jen and Bran’s happiness. The love in that room was palpable.

Pool Feet, Grass Stains, and Chasing Rabbits

If I had to sum up Jen and Bran’s wedding energy in one sentence, it would be this: they were down for anything.

They dipped their feet in the pool. They laid in the grass. They chased rabbits. They treated their wedding day like an adventure instead of a checklist, and that is always when the best photos happen.

Those moments, the unscripted ones where couples follow curiosity instead of rules, are the ones that stick with me forever.

A Red Lion Inn Cohasset Wedding That Felt Like Pure Joy

Jen and Bran’s wedding wasn’t about perfection. It was about connection, playfulness, and soaking up every second together. If you’re dreaming of a Red Lion Inn Cohasset wedding that feels creative, emotional, and deeply personal, this venue absolutely delivers. And if you’re the kind of couple who wants to laugh, cry, wander, and maybe chase a rabbit or two on your wedding day, you are my people.

This one will stay with me for a long time.
