Kicking off a wedding season with a micro-wedding at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven? Yes, please. This intimate beachside celebration with Nathasha and Viranga was pure magic. Picture a dramatic sunset, ocean waves, and a carousel spinning in the background-because why not have a little extra fun on your wedding day?
Nathasha originally planned a simple city hall wedding in Hartford, but after chatting and looking through some of my past intimate weddings, she realized she wanted something more outdoorsy and personal. Enter Lighthouse Point Park, the perfect spot for a laid-back yet wildly romantic micro-wedding.
The day started with a first look right before the ceremony, surrounded by their closest family and friends. It wasn’t just the two of them in that moment- it was a whole circle of love, watching and feeling every bit of emotion. Viranga even surprised Nathasha with a necklace during their first look, and the way they held hands walking toward their ceremony was straight out of a storybook.
Even with only eight guests, the day never felt small. It was filled with huge emotions- so much laughter, so many tears, and those quiet moments where you could just see how much these two adore each other. The way Viranga kissed Nathasha’s forehead when he thought no one was looking, the way she leaned into him like home… it was everything.
I left that night with sand in my shoes, a full heart, and the biggest smile. These are the kinds of weddings I live for: emotional, real, and so full of love.
