Nick and Noelle’s Union Station Banquet wedding was all about the real, unfiltered moments that make a wedding day unforgettable. These two didn’t just celebrate their love—they made the day feel like an extension of who they are: down-to-earth, genuine, and a WHOOOOOOLE lot of fun.
Union Station Banquets in Northampton, Massachusetts, set the scene perfectly. With its mix of historic character and modern flair, it gave the day a unique backdrop. It was a hot September day—86 degrees with a clear, cloudless sky—but that didn’t stop the energy from flowing. In fact, it was almost a direct reflection of the radiating warmth of Nick and Noelle themselves
Nick and Noelle’s style came through in every little touch. Their color palette—navy blue, orange, and gold—brought a vivid yet sophisticated vibe. And that neon sign over their sweetheart table reading “The Farrells”? Could you ask for something so bold, retro, and artsy, yet so personal?
Nick and Noelle opted for a first look at The Tunnel Bar, a dimly lit space with an underground speakeasy vibe. It felt like they stepped into their own little world, away from the day’s chaos. Watching them see each other for the first time in such a cool and unexpected spot was a moment I won’t forget.
Their ceremony felt intimate, relaxed, and completely them. Instead of the usual unity candle or sand ceremony, they brewed a cup of coffee together—a subtle nod to their love of caffeine and quiet mornings spent together. It was such a unique way to mark the start of their marriage. Adding to the personal touches, their rings were passed around by their closest loved ones for blessings before they exchanged them. These small, heartfelt details gave their ceremony a deeply meaningful vibe.
The reception was equal parts cozy and lively, starting with their first dance to “This Must Be The Place” by the Talking Heads—a refreshingly unique choice that reflected their personality as a couple. And then came the bridesmaids’ perfectly executed dance to “Rasputin” from Just Dance. The dance floor was FULL of lighthearted moments like this that had everyone laughing and joining in on the energy.
As a photographer, the moments that resonate most are the ones that unfold naturally—the ones that capture the genuine, beautiful spectrum of human emotion and individuality. For family and wedding party photos, we hit up a nearby bike path. The light there was perfect, and the occasional biker’s surprised reaction to a full wedding party on their ride just added to the charm. Nick and Noelle’s easygoing vibe made the whole day feel like a celebration among friends rather than a formal event.
Their email after receiving the photos said it all:
“ANDREA!!!! We won’t have a chance to really look at them until this afternoon but I just needed to immediately respond to say HOLY CRAP IM SO EXCITED!!
Holy Crap,
Nick”
What a way to keep me going for ages!!!! I absolutely love my clients!
Nick and Noelle’s wedding wasn’t about putting on a show or following a script—it was about celebrating their connection in a way that felt authentic and fun. From the coffee ceremony to the Tunnel Bar, to the perfecly picked out music, every detail reflected their personalities.
