Kenzy and Stephen’s Oceanview of Nahant wedding was the kind of day that makes you forget emails exist. Mid-June, not a single cloud in the sky, ocean air drifting through everything, and somehow… it was a Monday and still one of the most electric parties of the year.
As their wedding photographer, I immediately fell in love with how this day felt. Relaxed like a beach vacation, joyful like a summer block party, and infectious energy bursting at the seams once the dance floor opened.
Oceanview of Nahant keeps things refreshingly simple. There’s a cozy bridal suite with massive mirrors and, honestly, one of my favorite features: it opens directly onto the ceremony space. You’re not gonna run into any maze-like hallways. No long walks before the aisle moment, feeling the anxiety swirling. Couples get to feel calm, contained energy and feel present instead of overwhelmed.
It’s a venue designed for ease, and you can feel that immediately.
The Beach Stone Terrace at Oceanview of Nahant sits right on the water in Nahant, Massachusetts, one of the most scenic coastal towns north of Boston. Bright, breezy, salty air, sunlight bouncing off the water. It felt refreshing and grounding all at once.
This is one of those ceremony spots where guests audibly exhale when they sit down. The ocean does half the emotional heavy lifting for you.
Oceanview of Nahant is modern, intentional, and built for actual human enjoyment. It’s small enough that no one feels lost or overstimulated, but dynamic enough that every space feels different.
It truly feels like a resort wedding without the stress of traveling far. Inside, the bar area is a full-on explosion of color and creativity, easily one of the coolest cocktail hour hangout spots I’ve seen. There’s even a hidden arcade, which feels like a fun little secret waiting to be discovered.
And then there are the swings. Hanging from the deck. Overlooking the ocean. Wedding guest dream behavior.
Oceanview of Nahant also offers a super cool feature- a last dance enhanced by a special platform and a FOG MACHINE. So cool. The guests were obsessed!
Kenzy and Stephen were very clear about one thing: they wanted to enjoy their wedding day. I always give couples the option to prioritize time over photos, and they fully embraced that.
We grabbed a handful of portraits on the swings and along the ocean, soaked in that golden sunshine, and then immediately ran back inside so they could get to dancing. Every single couple is welcome to treat their wedding day exactly as they want, I’m along for the ride!
The reception space at Oceanview of Nahant is stunning in a clean, modern, coastal way. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the ocean, flooding the room with light during the day and glowing reflections at night. There’s a full-length oceanfront deck with bistro string lighting, a gas fireplace, mirrors everywhere, custom chandeliers, and a built-in dance floor setup that begs people to move.
It’s elegant without feeling stiff. Polished without losing warmth. And it’s just so cool!
This dance floor was unhinged in the best way. Packed all night. High-energy from the first song to the last. Kenzy and Stephen’s friends and family showed up ready to party, and they absolutely delivered.
One of those weddings where you look around and think, yeah, this is exactly how it’s supposed to feel.
If you’re dreaming of a coastal Massachusetts wedding that feels relaxed, joyful, and genuinely fun, Oceanview of Nahant is a standout. It’s perfect for couples who want ocean views, an intimate layout, and a celebration that feels more like a vacation with your favorite people.
Kenzy and Stephen’s wedding had 121 guests, endless sunshine, and energy that never dipped once. A Monday wedding that felt like a weekend-long celebration. Truly iconic.
