The Trailhead If you had told me 5 years ago that I would be shooting an adventurous elopement in Colorado, I would’ve passed out on the spot. This was always a dream of mine; to combine my love of travel, hiking, and nature with my job. So when Kat and Nathan messaged me telling me […]

Think about the amount of time it would take for you and your bridesmaids/families to get ready. Then add two hours. Yes, seriously. Hair and makeup frequently goes overtime and you want to be able to relax and breathe. The most important part of getting ready is just being able to hang out with the people you’re surrounded by! Accompanied by Beyonce and mimosas, usually. Bonus: the more time you have leftover, the more time you have to get some photos done of yourself and the bridal party! The more photos you knock out early, the more free time later on.

In my six years of shooting over 75 weddings, there’s questions I’ve been asked by clients to give them the peace of mind to document their wedding days. No lie, I must have gasped at least 100 times at this wedding. This is a shining example of what I want for every couple: a wedding day that reflects exactly who you are, incorporates the things you love, and makes you feel completely at home, surrounded by the things you value most. Everything about Kailey and Matt’s wedding day just screams THEM. No one besides them had a say in how to decorate, no one protested their desire to do anything unconventional. They invited the people that meant the absolute most to them. Because of this, their wedding was completely unforgettable because there will never be anything exactly like it. It was unapologetically everything that Kailey and Matt are and more. I’m SO excited to show this day off!

Most couples‘ weddings are their first. Other than occasionally attending a cousin’s wedding or being a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding, most have very little experience with how weddings go down. This is a whole new life experience and can definitely be scary to jump into! With whole new emotions, a luxury event, being the center of attention; there’s a lot to consider! That’s why I asked my past clients and friends for advice to give to future brides and grooms.

I’m out here, a New Mexico girl going through Northeast weddings cause I have completely run out of content due to Covid-19. I should be booking so many sessions and weddings but alas, 2020 is not any of our year.

SO! Here’s a wedding I second shot for Jessie Felix Photography! It seems like every wedding I second shoot for just takes my breath away. The couple was so stunning and sweet. And can we talk about her dress? AND THOSE VIEWS?? I can’t believe I got to be even a small part of this!

Wow. Thanks to quarantine, I’m able to go back in time and blog some October weddings! October is the most chaotic part of the year for photographers, and what follows it is months of catching up on editing and making deadlines. It’s so hard to blog during these times so I’m grateful for this bit of downtime to actually be able to feature some of my favorite weddings!

A photographer walks into an old theater and is greeted by intricate, early 1900s architecture, a super cute couple, and a plethora of Simpsons quotes. Could their job get any better? Probably not. I am so stunned by some of the places I wind up in and I feel like every couple takes me on […]
