New Mexico Engagement

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 6 months since I had the privilege of shooting Melissa and Dennis’ engagement photos in the Sandia Foothills of Albuquerque, New Mexico. We drove up to take photos at the Juan Tabo Cabin at the base of the Sandia Mountain, and then explored the trails leading through the hills. That night, the sunset was absolutely unreal and made the mountains glow pink. If you’re looking for an epic engagement session spot in Albuquerque or anywhere else in New Mexico—this is it!

New Mexico Mountains

The New Mexico Mountains are a great place to go for an engagement session.

• For starters, they’re incomparably beautiful. The colors in a New Mexico sunset combined with the unique desert setting make for the most insane engagement photos you could ask for
• The second thing that comes to mind is it’s fun! Trekking through the foothills and maneuvering our way around cactus leads to dynamic, energetic, and natural photos! We did plenty of it at this engagement session in Albuquerque!
• They’re surprisingly easy to get to. There are tons of parking lots in the area where you can stop for a quick hike to an amazing location. You can even drive to the top! No need to plan for all day mountain-climbing excursion.
