Carlsbad, New Mexico is small town with not a whole lot to do but once you look outside of it there’s just so much to take in. So many amazing places to hike, mountain ranges that just seem to roll on forever, El Paso to the southwest, Ruidoso to the northwest. White sands just a few hours away. Skiing and snowboarding in the winter, a surprising amount of rivers and waterfalls to go kayaking and swimming in the summer. There’s many national parks and amazing states bordering New Mexico it’s hard to wrap my mind around the places I’ve just driven to within a day.
McKittrick Canyon, a part of Guadalupe Mountains National Park is one of those places that brings perspective that I’m in an awesome place. So far, I’ve only worked here but it’s on the list to actually hike it one of these days! I’m so glad that Torie and Martin chose this location for their engagement session because it is by far one of my favorites.
I am so lucky to say that Torie and Martin are one of my New Mexico wedding couples for 2020! These two have known eachother for YEARS. But when Martin moved hours away, they lost touch for awhile. When Martin was about to move back, he decided to reach out to old friends though Facebook and messaged Torie. They hit it off completely. On Christmas Eve, surrounded by family, Martin asked Torie to be his wife.
I can’t wait for their story to continue at their wedding in October!
