Nestled into Ruidoso, New Mexico is a peaceful, wedding venue called Enchanted Vine. A part of Noisy Water Winery, this venue has it all. A ceremony area at the edge of the woods, a silo turned bar, a huge barn that can house the wildest dance floors, and some adorable animals.
With most of their guests coming from out of state, Janae ands Al showed them the absolute best of New Mexico.
Hanging out with the bridal party before the ceremony is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day and this was no exception. While Janae got her makeup done, spontaneous song and dance parties would break out, the best of which involved the flower girls. The kids at this wedding completely stole the show (sorry Janae haha).
The best part was when Janae and Al exchanged gifts. Al gave Janae a letter and a framed photo of their first date, which we recreated later on in the night! Janae gave Al a scrapbook of all their adventures, including ticket stubs from tons of concert and movie nights. Watching all the groomsmen actively take part in flipping through the scrapbook was beyond adorable.
Getting closer to the ceremony, Janae opted to do a first look with her dad. You can tell how much they love eachother and how sweet their relationship is.
Again, the kids at this wedding were absolutely hilarious. The flower girl and ring bearer were both given bubble guns instead of flowers to walk down the aisle with. Looking very disgruntled and confused, they couldn’t figure out how to get the bubbles going until they got to the end of the aisle. Cheering broke out in the crowd once the bubbled were released. Cutest moment ever.
The ceremony was simple and sweet. Seeing everyone’s maskless smiles as they looked on in pride was just magic.
Mannn this was a bridal party that made me LAUUUGHHH. And kept me on my toes. This bridal army was full of surprises and hilarious ideas. I love a fun bridal party so much.
After the bridal party shots, Janae, Al, and I wandered around the property, chasing the good light. Enchanted Vine gives endless amounts of gorgeous spots for wedding photos. The coordinator even let us into the wine cellar, a very welcome place in the heat of the day. Bonus: it smelled AMAZING. We took a few more golden, sun drenched photos then headed inside for the reception.
Janae and Al know how to throw an absolute blast of a party. Their family and friends did not hold back for a second on having an amazing time. I don’t think there was a single person who went the whole night without dancing. I could not stop laughing. For their first dance, Janae and Al danced to The Story by Brandi Carlisle. One of the most unique first dance songs I’ve ever heard. Obsessed.
The story with the two blue haired girls? They didn’t even know eachother till that night! They made for an awesome photo. So I had to include it.
The night closed out with a Dancefloor Confessional song, which was the band Janae and Al were seeing when they met! Absolutely EVERYONE knew the song and my emo heart was very happy.
I can’t thank Janae and Al enough for choosing me as their photographer. This is the kind of couple I wish I could work with forever. A fun-loving, laid back, hilarious couple with impeccable music tastes who love spending life together more than anything. Congratulations again to the both of them!!
