Back in June, I had the pleasure of working with some fellow wedding vendors to create this colorful styled shoot at Casa Perea Art Space in Corrales, New Mexico! The purpose of this shoot was to show off the delicious and beautiful food made by Mila’s Mesa, a caterer based in Albuquerque.
Working with these vendors was a blast. Other than being ridiculously talented, every one of them was hilarious and so much fun to work with. I want to hang out with them all the time! This styled shoot was like a grown-up playground for wedding professionals and there should be regularly scheduled playdates.
Lace and Bow Bridal Events put the whole thing together. Taylor is probably one of the most hands-on, helpful, and creative planners I have ever met. She will have your back 100% if you hire her to plan your wedding.
Casa Perea Art Space held the shoot at its venue. It’s a unique, peaceful venue with tons of New Mexican influences. Brimming with ivy-covered arches, vineyards, and colorful gardens, this is a perfect place to get married. I hope to photograph a real wedding here someday!
The gorgeous drinks were made by Jessica O’Brian, a cocktail genius at Sister the Bar in Albuquerque. We totally had some sips for ourselves and though I’m a beer girl, those were some KILLER cocktails.
Mila’s Mesa makes some of the most beautiful dishes I’ve seen. This isn’t just food. It’s an experience. It’s a culinary art gallery. Just beautiful stuff!
I cannot rave enough about the cake. It was more of a work of art than a dessert! I don’t know if I would ever be able to cut into it. Covered in intricate art and flowers, this is a cake to remember. This is the bakery for you if you love all things artsy and colorful! Shoutout to Pretty n Baked for making it!
Simply Decor Tents and Events provided the rentals. Their variety of products is INSANE. They have everything you need to host any kind of event. For a wedding, they provide an amazing foundation to build your theme on. You can’t go wrong with these rentals. (side note: they offer rainbow flatware which is the coolest thing ever).
Beloved Rentals came in with tables that provided the perfect backdrop for the colorful details. The dark wood contrasted against the pinks, blues, and yellows in a way that made this photographer’s heart happy.
Bridal Elegance provided the dress our bride model wore. The dress itself is designed by Maggie Otero. Though Brenda is not an actual bride, she definitely looked like one wearing this dress. So gorgeous and comfier than so many wedding gowns! I especially love the simplicity of it.
Or groom model, Thomas, totally owned the suit we rented out. For all your James Bond-y vibes, definitely check out Mr Tux and feel like an absolute badass.
Hair and makeup was provided by Betty Rose by both Alanna and Savannah. Brenda looked so naturally beautiful and was glowing. If you love the natural, bringing-out-your-best-features kind of bridal look, check out these two!
Cordially Invited Events is the best stationary creator around. I’ve worked with them a few times and every time, I’m blown away by their creativity and ability to encompass their clients personalities and themes. Their work will give your guests a clear idea of the vibes of your wedding!
Now that I’ve introduced everyone, time to show off their work!
