You know the kind of people who make you feel like you've known them your whole life the first five minutes of meeting them? The kind of people who are just so comfortable to be around and are completely willing to share their story with you? That's Aaron and Brian. It was absolutely amazing how natural these two were in front of a camera and how easily we fell into conversation about literally anything. I almost forgot to take pictures at some points, I was having waaaay too much fun at this session.
Aaron and Brian are another testament to how incredible the online dating world is. One night, after MUCH persuasion from a friend after a bad day, Aaron logged onto Match.com and matched with Brian. Still not completely sure she should dive into this world, her friend encouraged her. "At least try it out. He's cute. You can text me during the date. And we'll hope he's not a serial killer"
That first date went VERY well. So well, that Aaron completely lost track of time. She was getting texts. Very worried texts. "WHERE DID YOU GO? IS HE ACTUALLY A SERIAL KILLER?" They were completely lost in eachother. Sitting together for hours upon hours, the conversation flowed so naturally, so easily between them. They both left that date that night smiling their faces off.
May 2016. Brian is armed with a hidden ring and the important knowledge of what Aaron's favorite animal is and he takes her to the aquarium. They saw a seal show, watched beluga whales dance around in their tank, grabbed some pizza, and wound up at the penguin exhibit where Aaron's attention was fully consumed by aquatic bird antics.
Her eyes were glued to the glass window but somewhere out there, she heard a familiar voice grabbing for her attention. He would need to wait a minute. At this exhibit, boyfriends take second place. Sorry, Brian. But you have to understand: PENGUINS. As she watched, his voice grew more urgent and she spoke up. "One minute, babe! It's penguins!" and she continued watching. He was persistent; calling towards her, fighting for her attention and finally, she turned around. There he was on one knee, asking her to be his wife.
Suddenly, the penguins were MUCH less important.
This may look like a sweet moment to the untrained eye but if you look closely, you can see it's a vicious thumb war.
Can I just say I love the fact she wore converse to her engagement session?
Aaron & Brian - I'm so, so glad to have met you guys and learned your story (god, I hope I got it at least mostly right. My memory is so bad sometimes!). You two make such a perfect couple, the way you interact with eachother and goof off together really made this engagement session something completely special and different. I can't wait for your wedding in just a couple months!
