Adventure to the Aquarium
Since Matt and I moved in together almost three months ago (man, time flies) we make sure we fit a weekly date into our schedules. With both of us being fans of the couch potato life and not being fans of plan-making, these dates are typically low-key: a hike through the woods, breakfast at our favorite diner, a stroll through a local ceremony. Boring for most people? Probably. Perfect and enjoyable for us? YES.
However, with my new job and several shoots planned for the fall, I wanted to leave summer with an adventure before I got busy. For us, that meant the aquarium and I was STOKED.
This guy isn't very aquatic but he's photogenic so everything's fine.
Strange limbless alligators: Rubber.
Excited about clownfish since 2003. Thanks Finding Nemo.
This fish is definitely a fusion between a grumpy old man and a melon.
Let's talk about how freakin' cool jellyfish are. They swim by flapping their translucent bodies, they essentially become plants for a portion of their lives, and they don't have brains, and some of them LIGHT UP. I could watch them all day.
ahhh this guy was so cool. Just wish his little home wasn't so dark.
Matt is a bit of an expert in petting cats and can make even the most antisocial cat fall in love with him. Here, he tries his skills on a crab. Crab does not appear phased.
Belugas are so silly but so majestic. I aspire to be a beluga.
Afterwards, we ended our day with messily eating ice cream at a picnic table near the water like the romantics that we are. And then we drove home and were huge couch potatoes.
