Man, what a party. Literally the hugest party I've ever been to despite everyone being about a head shorter than me (I don't remember growing that much since I was thirteen...)
This was my first ever bat mitzvah and I had a blast. The venue, Its2Cool, in Canton, MA. knew exactly what kind of party kids this age would want. Great food, energizing music, a photobooth, video games, silly hats, and seemingly everyone in Jessica's school was invited.
When I first met Jessica at the initial consultation and asked if she was excited, she gave me the biggest smile and an enthusiastic nod. That same smile never left her face as she danced the night away with her friends and I have no doubt they will be talking about this party for the rest of the school year.
"Want to model for me?" was one of the first things I asked Jessica on her big day. She rocked it.
With all the details featuring Jessica's initials and style, the club was transformed into her own personal party venue for the night.
Jessica's friends and family started streaming in, overflowing with excitement.
Shari, Jessica's mom stamped the guests hands, welcoming everyone with her friendly smile.
Once the professional dancers broke onto the dance floor, the party erupted into an explosion of energy and celebration.
Jessica and her family were officially announced onto the dance floor. The grin on Jessica's little brother's face explains it all.
Jessica's parents shared a moment together during a montage video of Jessica's Bat Mitzvah in Israel.
^my personal favorite from the night
This is the face of a girl having the time of her life.
Jessica's dad Brett gave a heartfelt toast, only embarrassing her once or twice =P
Jessica shared a sweet dance with her father.
The sweetest family on the planet.
Middle schoolers slow dancing makes me smile.
The kids played a game called Coke & Pepsi and it was a riot.
I absolutely loved working with this family. They were so welcoming, so inviting, and though I was the photographer, I truly felt like I was a part of the celebration. I can't wait to shoot more events like this!
