Oh my goodness guys. What an amazing engagement session. I loved every second of it and these two were such a fun couple to hang out with.
Mike and Chelsea met back in 2007 as volunteers at a soup kitchen (in fact, the day of our photoshoot was their 8 year anniversary being friends on Facebook! Hooray!) Mike had been volunteering since he was in the 4th grade and one day, a bright-pink-haired Chelsea wandered in. Mike thought she was a total weirdo. Over the next few years, they only struck up a conversation every once in awhile until one day, Chelsea convinced Mike to attend a party. Though she knew no one there, she tagged along and she and Mike talked the whole. night. long. About anything and everything. On their first date, they walked around a gorgeous Christmas light display together.
Fast foward to April 2015 and Mike surprises Chelsea by taking to the filming location of her favorite movie: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. "He did his research!" Chelsea had told me, smiling at him. While walking on the beach together, Mike turns to Chelsea and quotes the movie, saying "I'm going to marry you". "No it was the girl who said it!" Chelsea had said, joking as SHE got down on her knee first! They joked together for awhile, and as the laughter subsided, Mike pulled out a ring and proposed. When she realized he wasn't joking, Chelsea gave the easiest and most excited yes of her life.
Mike, you did great.
Time for me to watch some Eternal Sunshine.
